We ran to honour our war veterans
On Monday 11 November, at the 11th hour and 11th minute, we commemorated the signing of the Armistice that ended the First World War in France.
We honoured this event, which symbolises the sacrifice and heroism of war veterans, by taking part in a run in which more than 290 runners took part, including professional soldiers. We took part in the run in honour of war veterans in Petržalka - Kopčany near Bratislava. The Special Operations Forces (SOF) group took part in this exceptional event, and we were also represented in the categories "Soldiers with equipment" and "Men" (including soldiers without equipment). Cadets of the Armed Forces Academy of General Milan Rastislav Štefánik and representatives of the Military Sports Centre DUKLA Banská Bystrica, led by its director, Lieutenant Colonel Matej Tóth we also among the participants.
In a strong competition we managed to achieve great results. In the category "Men" (including soldiers without equipment) our colleague won the second place. In the category "Soldiers with equipment" our colleagues came second and third.
Congratulations to all winners!
