On Saturday, June 29, 2024, members of the 5th Special Forces Regiment (5th SFR) from Žilina and the 51st Wing from Prešov participated in an event called “Hurray for the Holidays 2024” in the village of Brezany. Visitors had the opportunity to view the interior of a UH-60M helicopter, ride Polaris ATVs, and watch demonstrations by service dogs, volunteer firefighters from the village of Lietava, and displays from the Police Corps of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic. There were also children's competitions, and as usual, the program ended with a foam show.
      The event was also supported by the commander of the 5th SFR, Colonel Peter Žochňák, whose presence not only showed solidarity with his subordinates but also contributed to enhancing the credibility of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic.
