Every era has its heroes, and ours will remember Captain in memoriam Edmund Makovník and Sergeant First Class in memoriam Patrik Fraštia.
       On Wednesday, December 27, 2023, in the presence of the Chief of the General Staff, General Daniel Zmeko, the Chief Non-Commissioned Officer of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic, Sergeant Major of the Army Marcel Kaniak, the Deputy Commander of the Special Operations Forces, Colonel Pavel Šebík, and the Commander of the 5th Special Forces Regiment, Colonel Peter Žochňák, we commemorated the sad 10th anniversary of the tragic death of our two exceptional friends and colleagues.
      We remembered them in Košice and in Žilina at the places of their final rest. Despite a decade passing since this loss, memories of Edo and Paťo have not faded, and we will "never forget!"
